An Eider Duck Visits

Over the weekend we were visited by a juvenile male eider duck. The duck was found on a highway highway near Moncton. It didn't appear hurt in any way, it seemed like he was just taking a break. He was probably on his way to Shediac Bay from the Bay of Fundy.

After his two day rest, we released him again. He seemed as happy as a clam.

We moved our little skunk into an outdoor enclosure.

Meanwhile, our mallard ducklings are really doing well. Their feathers are growing in nicely, and they should be ready for release soon.
